Grok Imagine Video is xAI's text-to-video model. It offers a wider set of aspect ratios than the Kling family — seven shapes rather than three, including 4:3, 3:2 and their portrait inversions — which matters when the clip has to sit in a layout that is not 16:9 or a phone screen.
Six and ten second durations give a little more room than Kling's five, and output runs to 720p. It suits social and web use where the delivery resolution is modest anyway and the framing is unusual.
It stops at 720p. For 1080p, use Grok Imagine Video 1.5, which is image-to-video.
