Seedream v4 vs Seedream v3
They cost the same, and v4 is better in every measurable way — including double the maximum dimension, 4,096 pixels a side against 2,048. There is no value argument for v3.
The one real reason to choose v3 is continuity. A prompt tuned against v3 does not reproduce identically on v4, so a series started on v3 should be finished on v3 rather than developing a visible seam halfway through. For anything new, use v4.
